The Dental Caries Prevention Research Center of Tehran University of Medical Sciences, as a representative of Iran, participated in the first oral health conference of the World Health Organization in Bangkok and shared Iran's thirty-year experience in integrating oral health into the primary health system.
As a member of the big family of Tehran University of Medical Sciences, the Tooth Caries Prevention Research Center of the Research Institute of Dental Sciences had an impressive presence at the first and largest oral health conference of the World Health Organization (WHO) held in Bangkok, Thailand, and the high name of Tehran University of Medical Sciences And the country of Iran was included in the list of supporters of the strategic and operational oral health program of this organization.
Our center is proud to host a meeting titled "Integration of oral health in primary health care" along with universities and institutions from Finland, Australia and South Korea, and during this program, Iran's thirty years of experience in this field were presented to the attendees. and reviewed. The choice of this topic was the proposal of the co-hosts of this meeting, which was welcomed following the call of the World Health Organization and in a competitive process. Following this program, the organizing group of the meeting is supposed to follow up the issue in the form of a global network.
According to the officials of the Ministry of Health, hosting these programs of the World Health Organization is considered a very important and valuable event. Also in this conference, Mrs. Dr. Ghorbani, the head of the Department of Oral Health of the Ministry of Health, who was selected to give a speech regarding the setting of the research agenda in the field of oral health, was also present, and her speech also received special attention from the participants.
These successes made the scientific position of Iran and Tehran University of Medical Sciences more prominent in the international arena.
